National Science and Technology Fair (NSTF) 2011
Background
Since 1986, the Thai cabinet has approved August 18th to be the National Science Day to commemorate His Majesty King Mongkut as the "Father of Thai Science". In 2001, the cabinet has approved October 19th to be the "Thai Technology Day" in commemoration of His Majesty King Bhumibol who is honored as the "Father of Thai Technology". From those times on, the celebrations of National Science Week and Thai Technology Day have been organized in August and October consecutively every year by the Ministry of Science and Technology in cooperation with other related agents both in public and private sectors.
Thailand largest science and technology anneal festival "National Science and Technology Fair (NSTF) 2011” which consist of exhibition, edutaining experience, and seminar. To promote public understanding and awareness of science and Technology to Thai young people.
The fair was a great success with more than 1 million visitors visiting the event at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC) in Bangkok. The area for the event was approximately 42,000 sq. meter and there were exhibitions and activities, more the 100 agencies from ministries, agencies from universities, major science societies, private enterprises, and agencies from overseas.

All NIS Primary Section Parents,
As part of the holistic approach of Nantawan International School in developing our students academically in the different areas of learning, the school has scheduled a day for all Primary students to attend the National Science and Technology Fair (NSTF) 2011 this Friday, August 19, 2011 at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC).
The Fair is Thailand’s largest science and technology annual festival which consist of three major activities; science and technology exhibition, educational science experience, and science seminar. This will give our students an opportunity to visit the different booths and listen to different explanations on science and technology for their educational enhancement. There will be no expense involved. Lunch snack will be provided by the school. If your child or children would like to purchase some of the articles at the exhibit, you can give them some spending money.
