* Chinese as a Mother Tongue (for native Chinese speaking students); * Chinese as a Second Language; * Chinese for Beginners.
2. Our Chinese Programme derives its international standard from the education system in Singapore. Our Chinese textbooks are endorsed by the Ministry of Education in Singapore and formsally registered as being a suitable basis for delivering our Primary Programme. 3. Certification: our students are eligible to take the following Chinese language qualifications: * The Petchra Yod Moongkut Chinese Language Competition registered with the Royal Ministry of Education, Thailand. * Primary students of a high standard may enter for the Chinese Language Proficiency Test known as HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi). The Chinese Ministry of Education has established a China National Committee for the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK), abbreviated to CNCCPT. This CNCCPT oversees the administration of the HSK and issues Chinese Language proficiency certificates in its name. The CNCCPT administers the HSK in conjunction with the HSK Center of Beijing Language and Culture University. Attaining an HSK certificate: (i) signifies that its holder has acquired the requisite level of Chinese proficiency to enter a college or university as an undergraduate or graduate student; (ii) exempts its holder from taking various Chinese language courses (depending on the level of certification);(iii) provides employers with a basis to evaluate the the Chinese language proficiency of job applicants. The HSK is held regularly in Mainland China and at designated test sites abroad. * Primary students of a low standard are advised to take the Youth Chinese Test (YCT). YCT preparation courses are held for non-Chinese speakers (under the age of 15) and are divided into 3 levels: Level 1: This level is suitable for youngsters who can understand and read simple Chinese expressions and sentences.
4. We also cater for students unable to keep up with Chinese studies in our regular courses. We offer such students our Chinese Assistance Programme (CAP). This expedites students’ learning as quickly as possible to ensure they reach the standard of our regular Chinese courses. 5. We ensure our Chinese lessons are conducted in a happy atmosphere to make learning Chinese enjoyable as well as academically rewarding. 6. Our Chinese teachers are fully qualified, experienced native speakers. |
