NIS’ MISSION STATEMENT At NIS we have a particular concept of what we aim to achieve and how we propose to set out our professional duty to educate our students. Our Mission Statement indicates our targets while our Outline of School Values sets out the underlying principles on which our mission is based. Mission Statement At NIS we seek to instil high standards of intellectual knowledge, subject-specific skills, moral responsibility, respect for self and others and discipline in all our students. We aim at providing a warm, caring, supportive and professional environment to expedite the realisation of these goals and all our staff are committed to nurturing and developing a suitable ethos and atmosphere for the realisation of the latter. While we regard it as a vital part of a school’s responsibility to inculcate a sense of right and wrong in students, NIS does not follow, apply or instill any particular religious doctrine or ideology into its students. The tolerant and inclusive ethos NIS maintains ensures that students of all religious faiths and ideologies feel welcome and at home here. We believe all religions merit due respect and we regard the choice to pursue and subscribe to a particular faith should be a matter for individual students and their families rather than for School policy. Consequently NIS is proud to be a multi-denominational and non-proselytising institution which upholds strict morals and ethics while adopting a latitudinarian attitude towards different religions. Outline of School Values NIS regards education as a creative and interactive process in which a student’s individual talents, strengths and potential can – with careful and at tentive fostering – come to fruition in ways that enhance their development, maturity and intellectual fulfillment. Our teaching follows a child-centred approach which lies at the heart of all the school’s policies. We choose materials and resources to fit the child and not vice versa. Staff are chosen not just for their experience and qualifications but also for their warm, friendly personalities and their sympathetic attitudes towards young people from varied ethnic backgrounds growing up in Thailand. ![]() |
