March 11, 2012
Attention: School Director Dear: Nantawan International School Subject: Request for support & participation in the multilingual sound recording for the 2012 Rotary International Convention Campaign Video. Thailand is honored as the host country for the upcoming (2012 Rotary International Convention), which is a global event for Rotarians from all over the world. The Thai Rotary Foundation has therefore teamed up with Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and partner agencies from the government and private sectors; along with Thai Rotarians nationwide to jointly welcome an estimate of more than 38,000 international visitors who will be in Thailand to attend this convention at the IMPACT Muang Thong Thani on May 6-9, 2012. This international event will be held with a concept to create peace with smiles, and the slogan “The Land of a Thousand Smiles” is used to communicate the renowned hospitality of Thai people. Another key gimmick of this convention will be “Nong Yim” and “Nong Yam”, a couple of smiley boy and girl mascots in Thai ‘jong kra ben’ loincloth who serve as the ambassadors to welcome the visiting Rotarians. As part of our 2012 Rotary International Convention campaign, the Thai Rotary Foundation is currently in process to produce a video to invite international Rotarians to this convention. Therefore, we would like to request for your support in sending student representatives from your school to jointly record sound for this invitation video. The student representatives will lend their voices to “Nong Yim” Intouch Tasanakijpanich in level G3 and “Nong Yam” Tanaree Yimneamthanathorn in level G2, in Mandarin language. This sound recording will take place on April 11, 2012 at 2.00 -3.00 pm. at MGA Media studio on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road. And to facilitate transportation to the studio, the foundation will provide transportation expenses for the student representatives and supervising teachers from your school. Your kind consideration and support with regard to this video production will be highly appreciated.
Yours truly,
(PDG. Suchada Ithijarukul)
